Kornit Digital exhibited the future of sustainable textile production at ITM Istanbul fair
Kornit Digital, which has put its Turkey office into service, offers both direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-fabric (DTF) digital production range according to demand, in cooperation with its Turkey partner MatTex. and offers sustainable textile production.
Kornit Digital, the worldwide market leader in sustainable, on-demand digital fashion and textile production technologies, presented its latest innovations to the visitors at the International Textile Machinery Fair held in Istanbul. During the industry event held at Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, the company brought together participants with its one-step, direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-fabric (DTF) digital production range based on the game-changing MAX technology.
Kornit Digital Turkey Country Manager Nathalie Hızveren made evaluations about the products they exhibited at the fair in Istanbul and the interest of the visitors.
How do you evaluate the International Textile Machinery Fair? Did it meet your expectations?
“First of all, we are very happy to participate in the fair with our partner MatTex. In this way, we had the opportunity to meet with many companies from the same industry. The pandemic process affected our dialogue with our customers and especially our ability to come together. During this period, there were a number of changes in the textile industry.
In addition, sustainable and water-free production is a very important issue not only for global big brands, but also for the Turkish textile industry to provide the best service to its customers without compromising the environment. The most valuable feature of Kornit printing technology is that it does not require pre-treatment and post-treatment, and this creates a significant difference.
Not only for our environment and the world we leave to future generations, but also because we eliminate the costs that result from this long and dirty process. The machinery fair enabled us to introduce two innovations, Atlas Max and Presto S, to the industry, and at the same time, allowed us to safely participate in the fair environment again.
On the other hand, we saw at this fair that the demand for digital printing and personalized printing is increasing. Machinery manufacturers should also keep up with this change.
The fair met our expectations and once again confirmed our strategy of making Turkey a focus country and investing in Turkey. As Kornit, we are currently able to provide direct support to both our partners and customers, not only with our partner MatTex, but also with two employees affiliated with Kornit. There is no doubt that Turkey will play a much more important and strategic role in the already strong textile industry in the coming years.”
How were the local and foreign visitors? What would you say about the feedback and interest in the machines you exhibited during the fair?
“Customers have shown great interest in quality and speed combined with sustainability.
The ability to print white on dyed fabrics and prints that create a 3D effect in partial printing were also highly appreciated by the visitors. The most important difference of our products from the products of other manufacturers is that this technology, which uses sustainable and waterless production, does not require pre- and post-treatment and therefore breaks new ground in textiles.
This is one of the main advantages of Kornit. It has always been our goal to produce environmentally friendly and sustainable products. Additionally, I think we are different from our competitors not only with the new technologies and innovations we use, but also with our cutting-edge 3D printing technology.
